Fresh Foods Distribution Warehouse Manager

• Communicates with Human Resources regarding open requisitions, needed advertising, and other recruitment issues.

• Interviews, selects and trains new team members in coordination with Human Resources and Training.

• Communicates with Buyers regarding merchandising, new product implementation and appropriate pricing. Promptly follows through with Buyer directions.

• Coordinates the activities of the department such as team member scheduling, ordering of product and team member training/performance to bring about an safe, efficient and well managed department.

• Coordinates the maintenance, repair and team member training regarding all equipment.

• Functions as a working manager willing to perform all tasks necessary to assure the smooth operation of the department.
• Oversees department inventory as assigned for accuracy, quality, turn, and inventory procedures.
• Performs all duties relating to warehouse security, i.e. lock-up of warehouse, opening of warehouse, theft prevention, on site maintenance and coordination of building repair.

• At least 5 years of related experience.

• Ability to work an average of 45-50 hours per week and adjust schedule to work load.

• Valid Class "A" PA Drivers license.

• Valid PA CDL license or willingness to obtain it (Stauffers of Kissel Hill will cover costs)

• Able to successfully complete DOT Physical and Drug Test as required according to DOT regulations.

• Able to withstand exposure to outside weather conditions.

• Able to withstand exposure to extreme cold due to working in coolers and freezers.

• Able to operate powered equipment.

• Able to lift up up to 50 lbs.
