• Interviews, selects and trains new employees in coordination with Human Resources and Training Department.
• Communicates with Buyers regarding merchandising, new product implementation and appropriate pricing. Promptly follows through with Buyer directions.
• Attends trade shows as required.
• Communicates with Human Resources regarding open requisitions, needed advertising, and other recruitment issues.
• Coordinates promotions and special events and oversees the setup and execution to ensure the events success.
• Coordinates the activities of the division such as cash management, employee scheduling,ordering of product and employee training/performance to bring about an efficient and well managed division.
• Coordinates the maintenance, repair and employee training regarding all equipment.
• Coordinates the merchandising of products or services to develop new markets, increase market share and obtain a competitive position in the industry.
• Functions as a working manager willing to perform all tasks necessary to assure the smooth operation of the division.
• Oversees department inventory as assigned for accuracy, quality, turn, and inventory procedures.
• Performs all duties relating to store security, i.e. lock-up of store, opening of store, theft prevention, on site maintenance and coordination of building repair.
• Visits competitors to stay aware of the marketplace and our position in it.
• Previous managerial/retail experience required.
• Ability to work an average of 45-50 hours per week and adjust schedule to work load.
• Willingness to transfer to any SKH location, as needed.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
